Canada welcomed a New York tradition on July 17, 2010; Summer Jam Canada 2010 was the first concert held at the Bingemans Park’s new outdoor 'concert bowl' attracting 5000 people from across Canada & the US.

.

The concert consisted of performances and appearances from artists such as JD Era, J Diggz, Mugz, Serani, Spliff Star, Dj Enuff, Dj Charlie Brown and Step Dee and astounding performances from the headliners, Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Rick Ross and Fabolous.

Summer Jam Canada was organized by local promoters, Front Row Productions. The event drew one of the largest hip hop crowds that Kitchener has ever acquired.

Major recording artist T-Pain performed an unreleased single entitled “Rap Song” from his new “Revolver” single for the first time in public.

Rick Ross got the crowd amped with songs from his #1 Album “Teflon Don”, while Fabolous brought us back in the day with a performance of such songs as “Breathe” and “So Into You.” It was an amazing concert and an entertaining day of hip hop.

Video Shoot- Tommy. G ft Famous "Booty Poppin"

Jaea Magazine had the opportunity to attend Cardigan Gang Music Group’s very own Tommy G’s video shoot, which features rapper Famous. This single is called “Booty Poppin;” which is set to be released officially on June 18th, 2010. Everyone gathered at Pacha Lounge downtown Toronto, models running around getting ready, makeup and outfits. The video shoot seemed to be well organized. Myself, Dani Grant, Public Relations Coordinator, Vanessa Adams, editor- in chief’s assistant, all had an amazing time, met amazing people and had AMAZING food. Finally no pizza! We were well entertained and taken cared of. Everyone did his or her part to make this video shoot very successful and done quickly. Below you’ll be able to see some of the important people that were apart of this video shoot. Thanks Cardigan Gang Music Group for having Jaea Magazine!

Hard Rock In Miami TRICKS

The Hard Rock is a most do if you are ever in the Miami area. It has a little something for everyone. There are numerous restaurants, nightclubs and performances. Each one as every bit entertaining as the other.

The scenery is amazing. The palms trees and water art is decorated with bright brilliant colors that help that is pleasing to the eyes and help to make your experience at the Hard Rock even more exciting.

The Hard Rock covers a lot of square foot, so ladies if you are feeling the burn of those shoes do not worry there is transportation available in between each venue.

There is only one thing that can stop you from having a good time at the Hard Rock and that is your age. Unfortunately, you have to be 21 and over to get into the Casino and nightclubs. Other than that I had an amazing time and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Marc Ecko Presents The 2010 Stylus DJ Awards

Monday, May 31st, 2010- Marc Ecko Watches presents the 2010 Stylus DJ Awards and I was lucky enough to be apart of this great event, which took place in Toronto, Canada at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. I could now see the amount of sweat that must have been put into this event, because it was huge. Some of the sponsors that were included in this event were FILA, Athletes World, Universal Music Canada and many more, which offered prize packs and information on their companies. The event started off very well, ladies and gents were ready for their snapshot on the red carpet at 6PM. It was an easy transition getting into the theatre; no long line-ups and the workers for the event were extremely helpful and friendly. Great start to an amazing night. The count down begins until the show starts, which is expected to begin at 8PM. Then the unpredicted happens, everyone racing to the front gathered, huddled over one another, it’s supposedly a fight. The show got pushed further and further until everything was solved, it was apparently a misunderstanding of seating arrangements between rapper, JD Era and rapper/singer, Drake’s associates. Eventually the event began and Vanessa Adams, the editors’ assistant, and I, were within the same radius of multiple DJ’s and musical artists. Trixx, a Canadian comedian was our host for the night and kept us laughing and jumping out of our seats. A couple artists had the opportunity to perform at this event, such as Karl Wolf, Belly, A-team, which performed their new single, Airplanes. Multiple artists also took part in the tribute to Guru, which included JD Era. They introduced a new artist for the night, Trish, who had an outstanding performance to her new single “Bump”, which I will definitely be investing my money into purchasing her CD. The night went on and each nominee anxious, waiting for their name to be called had either experienced a heartbreak or sense of relief. Drake also made a surprise visit to this event and was congratulated on receiving the best hip hop single of the year for “Best I Ever Had” It was a great show overall, and I was glad to be apart of such an event. Jaea Magazine congratulates all of the winners of this year Stylus DJ Awards. See you next year!

Forever Young April 16/2010

Rating: 7/10

Forever Young was a successful event for the promoters who were hosting it. Though it was full to capacity there were certain elements that limited the event from achieving a 10/10. The djs overplayed the Gucci Mane and SoulJah Boy tracks and the venue's security took their job wayy too serious and decided to purposely disrespect patrons. We do understand the actions of the security guards are not the responsibility of the promoters with that being said they should still look into hiring new security or switching venues. The wannabe ballers were in full effect poppin smirnoff and arrogantly trying to chop females. The thirsty females were also lingering by booths waiting on free drinks and possibly a ride home all and all the party was well promoted and I'm sure the event planners left satisfied. *snaps for the kids*
